City International Schools “Physical Education Program” is held in the school field where mostly all sports activities are practiced. The Program takes into consideration the different ages escalating from KG to Grade 12 in the High School.
CIS Organizes an Interesting Educational Program for overnight camping which involves several “Nature Preserved Zones”, Such as: Wadi El Rayan – Wadi El Hitan – White Desert – Raas Mohamed.
This Program takes in consideration introducing secrets of nature to our students and studying the natural aspects of the “Nature Preserved Zones”.
It also includes, activities that teach our students self dependence, working in small teams, leader-ship and following leaders. All this is Practiced through a Program with the “Egyptian Navy of Scouts” where our students acquire several outdoors skills.
Having group excursions for the purpose of first hand observation is one of the main priorities at city international schools.
CIS has at least one fieldtrip a month for each grade. We believe in the importance of observation and quantitative research. Therefore, we put a main concern to stress academic and recreational trips.
Throughout the ages art has played a crucial role in life. Art is universal and because art is everywhere, we experience it on a daily basis. From the houses we live in (architecture) to the movies we see (theatre) to the books that we read (literature). Even in ancient culture art has played a crucial role. In prehistoric times cave dwellers drew on the wall of caves to record history. In biblical times paintings recorded the life and death of Christ. Throughout time art has recorded history. Most art is created for a specific reason or purpose, it has a way of expressing ideas and beliefs, and it can record the experiences of all people.
Most art has some sort of reason or purpose behind it. It might be religious, symbolic, literal, traditional, customary, or just a preference by the artist.
Our annual show has become more and more important throughout the years. Children develop their self-confidence, self-esteem and are well socialized. They also acquire a sense of team spirit and responsibility.
We usually have our annual show during the 4th quarter of our school calendar. Parents and relatives are invited and they always wait for this occasion to see how their wards would perform in groups or individually. Rehearsals start very early so that we have enough time to prepare the children for the show, and for the confection of costume. The children, parents as well as teachers contribute largely to the success of the show every year.
Our graduation party this year was a distinguished one. It was hold in the open air at the Great Pyramids and was attended by all graduated students and their parents. Dr. Awatif Serag El-Din the Chairman of the school and the Board of Trustee members awarded the students and presented special prizes for the high achievers.
We wish our students who were graduated this year best of luck in their university study.
