Cognia Performance Accreditation and the Engagement Review
American City International School is proud to announce that it has receive its Cognia American Accreditation (formally known as AdvancED) for the next five years. Not only did we pass the accreditation review but we excelled. Our score was above the range required for accreditation. The following is from the Cognia Accreditation Review Board which highlights our success. The Engagement Review Team found American City International School (ACIS) to be an effective school and identified overarching themes from the review that support continuous improvement efforts. These themes provide both strengths and opportunities to guide the school’s improvement journey. ACIS operates as an enthusiastic family devoted to each other and the students. The school’s visionary and generous owner and chairman of the board has a distinguished commitment to education in Cairo. Further, this effective leadership has improved the overall performance of the school while not losing sight of the needs of every child. The school operates through an outstanding collaboration of the director, a skilled educator and medical doctor from the United States, and an extremely competent and loved principal. Frequently heard in interviews with stakeholders was “The school is our family,” “We are family,” and “We care about each other.” ACIS has a compelling strategic resource management system. The facilities are well maintained, student safety is a priority, and the quantity and quality of support staff is outstanding. Resources are abundant throughout the school. The parents and students of American City International School are privileged to be part of a family that supports each other in the development and success of the whole child. Much success has been achieved, and greater success awaits as the institution continues its quest towards improvement.
